The Steamboat Tavern is a wonderful, dog friendly, historical pub of character located on New Cut West, in Ipswich. It is well renowned for its live music and ever changing range of guest beers, with a comfortable beer garden in the back and seating on the quay at the front, overlooking the ‘New Cut’ of the river Orwell.
Run by landlord Andy and his friendly Crew, the pub can cater for just about anything. From private parties, birthdays or weddings to folk festival weekends, disco fundraisers and charity all day-ers.
With a wide range of traditional Ales and Ciders on offer, from both local and national breweries; homemade and locally sourced food – our chilli cheesy chips are a customer favourite! As well as a wide range of live music across the year along with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere from our locals. You can see why people always come back!
